Dozens Of Agricultural Societies Receiving Provincial Funding To Update Existing Facilities

The Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills MLA was pleased to have Alberta’s Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation in the constituency last week.
Nathan Cooper notes that the provincial government recently announced a $2.5 million dollar investment in 34 agricultural societies to update existing facilities including community halls, arenas, and rodeo grounds.
He says RJ Sigurdson was at the Madden Community Centre on Friday, January 12th.
Alberta’s government will continue to support agricultural societies through the Agricultural Societies Infrastructure Revitalization Program in 2024, with the intake opening later this year.
According to the provincial government, Alberta’s ag societies own or operate more than 900 facilities and host more than 37,000 activities and events per year.
