The Rotary Club of Olds is holding another round of its Dragons’ Den event.
Steve Turner, President of the Rotary Club of Olds, says it is an opportunity for them to distribute some money into the community, particularly for good work.
He notes that it is open to non-profit service groups –Â community groups, service organizations, sports or other types of groups, art groups, etc.
Turner hopes to see up to 10 different groups come out next month to present their pitch for funds they might be able to use to support their cause.
Turner highlights some of the groups and organizations that the Rotary Club’s Dragons’ Den event was able to support in 2023. He says “last year we were able to donate to a number of different groups and they included Christmas Angels, Olds Fashioned Christmas, the Lending Cupboard, and the Nordic Ski Club as examples. It was a great evening. We had lots of excitement from all of the groups that came out. It was great to see the various projects that people have underway to improve circumstance in our community.”
The Rotary Club of Olds will hold the second edition of its Dragons’ Den event on November 14th from 7pm until 9 o’clock at the Air Cadet Hall.
The deadline for groups and organizations to apply to be part of it is October 31st. To do so visit the Rotary Club of Olds website or Facebook page.
