The Town of Didsbury better not be camera shy because it will be the centre of attention for fans of a popular TV show this week.
Wynonna Earp ran from 2016 to 2021 and had a special feature released earlier this year on Tubi.
According to a media release from the Town, super fans of the show call themselves Earpers and they are in Calgary this week for an Earptopia Convention.
Much of the show was filmed in Didsbury with the town transformed into ‘Purgatory’ the home of the main character.
200 or more convention-goers are expected to head to ‘Purgatory’ on Thursday, October 3rd for Didsbury Day. It will include a scavenger-hunt style tour to all of the main filming spots as well as a showcase of some of the TV show’s most recognizable props.
