The annual general meeting for the Hope 4 MVC Kids Society is coming up next month.
It will take place on November 24th at 7pm at the Community Connections Centre on 51st Street in Olds. Everyone is welcome to attend the AGM.
Hope 4 MVC Kids is a registered charity and non-profit society with a mission of providing support to families of children in medical need within Mountain View County.
According to Marketing Director Danielle King, the fiscal year for Hope 4 MVC Kids runs until October 31st. She says “we still have the month of October to go but so far this year we’ve been able to help 45 local children. Obviously that covers, you know, the towns in Mountain View County. So we’ve got Carstairs, Sundre, Olds, and Didsbury. I don’t want to forget anyone but, yeah, so we’ve been able to help 45 children this year which has been really great. A lot of it, again, has been back to Program 7 which has been very valuable to our community this year.”
King adds, they are accepting applications now for three volunteer positions. She says “we have a co-chair role, a grants director, and our corporate engagement director role. All of those positions are two-year terms. They typically start after the AGM. So once the AGM has happened in November. People can send their resumes to founder@hope4mvckids.org but if anyone has got questions, they can email questions first if they need to.”
