The Whitecourt Wolverines will meet the Calgary Canucks in the Inter Pipeline Cup AJHL Finals.
The Wolverines won Game 7 of their semifinal series over the Canmore Eagles by the score of 3-1 last night in Whitecourt. Whitecourt takes the series 4 games to 3.
Last Friday, the Calgary Canucks eliminated the Drumheller Dragons by winnning Game 5 of the other semi 3-2. Calgary won the series 4 games to 1.
The Alberta Junior Hockey League’s best of seven championship series will start with Game 1 in Whitecourt on Friday, April 12th. Game 2 will also be there on Saturday, before the two teams head to Calgary for the next two games on April 16th and 17th.
The Wolverines (34-18-4-1) finished first in the AJHL standings during the 57 game regular season with 73 points. The Canucks (31-23-1-2) were third – 8 points back of Whitecourt.
