The Board of Chinook’s Edge School Division has approved hiring a company to support its search for a new Superintendent.
Current CESD Superintendent Kurt Sacher announced last month that he will be retiring at the end of the current school year. He says “I’ve had a tremendous career. This is 39 years in education for me. This is my 15th year as Superintendent. So it has just been a tremendous honour and privilege to represent the people of Chinook’s Edge School Division whether its our staff or our parents or our students. Very, very proud of the organization and what I’ve seen our leaders and our teachers do over this time, and I’ll be very sad to see the people go.”
According to Sacher, he has a huge responsibility to ensure that the next leader that the Chinook’s Edge Board selects is well supported in their transition.
Leaders International is the company being hired by CESD to help with the search for a new Superintendent. Chinook’s Edge hopes to announce its new Superintendent early in 2025.
