The Town of Didsbury has garnered international attention for a recent marketing campaign.
Mayor Rhonda Hunter points out that the Town’s recognized designated marketing firm – AdMaki – saw Didsbury’s ad campaign honoured by the Summit Awards with a ‘bronze standing’. She says “for the Calgary Transit campaign where Didsbury focused advertising on City buses and light-rail transit (LRT) was recognized. This prestigious award puts Didsbury on the international stage.”

Meanwhile, Mayor Hunter says Didsbury council was presented with information regarding the possibility of holding a by-election to fill a recently vacated seat.
Councillor Joyce McCoy formally resigned on September 23rd.
Although council does not have to fill the vacancy, Mayor Hunter says they will review this item during the November 12th regular council meeting.
The next municipal election is set for October of next year.
