Mountain View Colts Split Weekend Series With Three Hills Thrashers

The Mountain View Colts wrapped up a 2 game weekend against the Three Hills Thrashers on Saturday night at the Centennial Place Arena.

On Friday night it was Three Hills who got the best of Mountain View in Didsbury.
August Olson had 4 goals, while Riggs Ringdahl had 3 points to lead the Thrashers to a 7-4 win over the Colts.
Jay Heisted, Connor Poitras, Zane Labbe and Haiden Parks found the back of the net for Mountain View in the loss.
Goals have been hard to come by for Mountain View, who have averaged less than 2.5 goals per game to kick off the year.
The Colts have also used a total of 4 goalies now this year, after picking up Nicholas Smith from Okotoks earlier this week.
Smith would make his Colts debut on Saturday night in Three Hills, and it would go down as one to remember.
Smith steered aside all 27 shots he faced to lead the Colts to a much needed 1-0 win on he road.
Tanner Austin was the hero of the game, scoring his 4th of the year and the game winner at the 17:07 mark of the 3rd.
After the game, Austin was all smiles.
Head Coach Ron Doig was asked pre game if any frustration was starting to creep into his group, he joined CKFM in the pre game.
Cohen Richardson was the Colts Rookie Of The Year in 2023/2024, he was the feature interview of the 2nd intermission show.
The win boosts Mountain View’s record to 3-7-0, with 6 points they are 6th in the Heritage Junior Hockey League Northern division.
Next up for the Colts is a 2 game homestand next weekend, starting on Friday night when they welcome the Rocky Rams to Didsbury for the first time this season.
The next Mountain View Colts broadcast on 96.5 CKFM will come on October 26th when Mountain View welcomes the High River Flyers.
