Nominations are now open for Christmas hampers.
Claire Rosehill, Board Member with the Olds Christmas Angels Society, says the referral form is available on their website.
She notes it is a busy time of year for them because as soon as Remembrance Day is over they kick things into gear. Rosehill says “the Christmas Angels is a group of ladies that was started, honestly, over twenty years ago by a group that is very different than the group today but over the years new members have taken on roles and kind of joined the board and things just keep on rolling. It’s a group of ladies that essentially provides hampers of toys, and gift cards for food, toiletry items, anything really that families are in need of at the time of Christmas.”
150 families were helped by the Olds Christmas Angels hamper program in 2023 and this year the delivery day is set for December 20th.
According to Rosehill, also on their website is the new angel wish list.
She says you can access it through their website or the QR Code to see the list of all the things they are getting asked for this year for Christmas gifts.
Rosehill points out that the Christmas Angels are teaming up with the Olds Grizzlys for a toy drive game on November 30th and they will be working with the Interact Club at Ecole Olds High School for Christmas Palooza bake sale on December 11th.
