Didsbury RCMP Arrest And Charge Male With Attempted Murder

Didsbury RCMP have laid Attempted Murder Charges to a resident of Cremona after an incident in the early morning hours of November 18th.

RCMP were called to a residence in Cremona around 2:30am on Monday, after a report of a disturbance at a residence.

The complainant, who was in Calgary, indicated that there was a male in the residence who was attacking two other occupants.

Upon arrival, RCMP located two individuals, an 86-year-old male and a 59-year-old female, who had been seriously injured and in medical distress.

The officer searched the residence and located the suspect in the basement.

After a brief confrontation with the officer, the suspect was taken into custody without further incident.

Officers then provided first aid to the two injured parties until EMS arrived and took them to a Calgary hospital.

Police say both victims were severely injured and remain in hospital, but are expected to survive.

A 29 year old male resident of Cremona now faces 2 counts of attempted murder.

The suspect will appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Calgary on November 20th.
