Three Hills RCMP have issued a warrant for an arrest after a fraud investigation involving a meat purchase scam was launched in December of 2023.
The victim arranged a large meat order with a company named DBL Meats that was not honored.
The company was reported to be based in Kelowna, British Columbia, and was said to provide fresh farm products to customers in Canada.
16 victims together sent DBL Meats approximately $60,000 through e-transfer for meat products that were not delivered as promised.
Investigation has determined DBL Meats is not a legitimate company and had fraudulently obtained money from the victims.
As a result of the investigation, 36 year old Krysta-Lyn Williams of Penticton, has been charged with fraud over $5000 and a warrant for her arrest has been issued. If you have any knowledge of her whereabouts, please contact your local police.
Three Hills RCMP believe there are more victims of this meat scam.
