Innisfail Eagles Fall To Host Team As Preliminary Round Play Continues At 2024 Allan Cup Challenge

This is day 4 of the 2024 Allan Cup Challenge Tournament.

Four teams are in Dundas, Ontario for the tourney which will determine this year’s national senior men’s AAA hockey champion.

After winning the Alberta AAA championship banner for the second year in a row, the Innisfail Eagles began their time in Ontario with a 5-4 loss to the Stony Creek Tigers form Hamilton on Sunday night (April 21st).

On Monday, Innisfail clashed with the host team – the Dundas Real McCoys. Dundas improved to 2-0 this week by getting past the Eagles 5-2. The Birds drop to 0-2.

Innisfail is idle today. The third and final game of the preliminary round for the Eagles is on Wednesday afternoon.

The Allan Cup Challenge semifinals will be played on Friday night and then the championship game is slated for Saturday afternoon.
