Meat purchase scam investigation by Three Hills RCMP leads to arrest of B.C. woman

A 36-year-old woman from British Columbia has been arrested and charged by Three Hills RCMP for fraud over $5,000.

A fraud investigation involving a meat purchase scam with a company named DBL Meats had been initiated by Three Hills RCMP last December (2023).

According to police, the victims were defrauded over $60,000.

A warrant for the woman, who is from Penticton, B.C., was issued after she was charged with fraud over $5,000.

Mounties say Three Hills RCMP located Krysta-Lyn Williams in Picton, Ontario and with the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police she was apprehended on November 28th.

RCMP note that she will be transported to Airdrie and is set to appear in court there this week (December 4th).
