The holiday train, carolling, horse drawn wagons, a pub night, and more.
It is all coming up on Friday, December 13th as part of Country Christmas 2024 in the Town of Didsbury.
Laurie Hodge, Chair for the Didsbury Chamber, points out that there will also be a Wynonna Earp scavenger hunt at the old fire hall and a magical yuletide market at the Elks Hall. Hodge says “I think it is more important than now than ever, especially with all of our challenges that we’re facing right now in getting packages from here and there. If you can buy it somewhere close by, please do. It makes such a huge difference.”
When it comes to the importance of Country Christmas, she says “it’s integral to the economy in our small town. It’s the highlight of the Christmas season I think that gets many of the locals and people from outside to come into town and it gives us a little bit of a boost – not even just for morale but for revenue as well.”
Hodge adds, the Didsbury Chamber has seen a huge jump in volunteers within the organization. She says “this will be the first step in getting it back to a healthy state. I was surprised – but positively – to see such a fine turnout from all the local businesses to help out with this.”
