The Mountain View Colts string of six consecutive victories came to an end over the weekend.
Mountain View carried its season long winning streak into Friday’s trip to Strathmore. However, the Agra Risk Wheatland Kings brought the Colts back down to earth by handing them an 8-3 loss.
The Colts would then close out the 2024 portion of the Heritage Junior Hockey League regular season by falling 4-3 in overtime on Saturday to the Rams in Rocky Mountain House.
The Colts hit the holiday break in sole possession of second place in the Northern Division with a record of 13-11-2. They are 17 points back of the first place Sylvan Lake Wranglers (22-3-1) and 1 point clear of the third place Red Deer Vipers (13-12-1).
Mountain View’s first game of the new year will be on January 3rd in High River versus the Flyers.
