The Acme Community Centre is the place for this year’s Ladies Livestock Lessons workshop.
Join them from 8:30am until 4 o’clock on Friday, January 17th.
On average, Agricultural Field Operator Theresa Fletcher with Mountain View County says they have about 60 women attend the Ladies Livestock Lessons event annually.
She points out that it is a workshop designed for women involved or interested in the profession of managing livestock. According to Fletcher, it was developed with the goal of encouraging and educating women in the business and to facilitate the opportunity to expand the professional network. She says “we offer hands on activities and classroom sessions and the opportunity for women to socialize and network with other women in the industry. They all come together to learn and share their ranching experiences. LLL covers a wide range of topics related to on-farm best practices for natural resources and livestock management. These sessions are often presented by successful women in the industry who can speak about their own experiences and operations and share their successes and challenges in the agricultural industry.”
