The 2025 Ranching Opportunities seminar is slated for next month on the Olds College campus.
It will be held at the Pomeroy Inn & Suites from 8:30am until 4 o’clock on February 5th.
Agricultural Field Operator Theresa Fletcher with Mountain View County says it is an annual conference that they host together as an agricultural partnership.
According to Fletcher, it is a conference designed for producers involved in or interested in the profession of managing livestock. She adds, it was developed with the goal of promoting environmentally and economically sustainable livestock production. Fletcher says “this event covers a wide range of topics related to on-farm best practices for natural resources and livestock management, and economic development. We offer innovative and thought provoking sessions tailored to the current industry issues facing livestock producers.”
She notes it is Red Bow agricultural partnership’s largest event that they host annually with an average of 180 attendees each year. Fletcher says “a small group of attendees are actually students that come from Olds College. RO (Ranching Opportunities) also has a small trade show which provides industry, government, and non-profit organizations the opportunity to network with the producers.”
