Two-tired of walking? Win a bike at Friday’s Grizzlys game

The Olds Grizzlys hope that a big crowd rolls into the SportsComplex this week for Westview Co-op bike night.
Kevin Watson, Manager of Business Operations for the Grizzlys, encourages everyone to join them on Friday, January 17th at 7pm when they take on the Drumheller Dragons. He says “I’m looking forward to it. I know it is going to be lots of fun and it’s always a big crowd. So hopefully we do get another big crowd because we are giving away a kid’s bike. 12 and under get in free, of course, and then they also have a chance to win a bike but not just the kids win something. We’ve got something for the teens. There’s going to be a draw and then also for the adults too. So if the kids bring Mom and Dad along there is a chance for them to win something as well. You just have to get there a bit early, we are going to have a big crowd so, get there a bit early so you can get those ballots filled out as well for all the prizes.”
Westview Co-op bike night will include the chance to enter to win a bike for kids 12 and under. There will also be the opportunity for those ages 13 to 17 to enter to win a $50 gift basket and for those ages 18 an up to enter to win a $100 gift basket.
Friday’s game will be the fifth meeting of the season between the Grizzlys and the Dragons. Olds has 2 wins and 2 losses against Drumheller this season. The sixth and final meeting will be in Drumheller on Family Day Monday in February.
With 20 games remaining in the Alberta Junior Hockey League’s regular season, the Grizzlys are 11 points back of the Dragons for the South Division’s fourth and final playoff spot.
