Colts top Thrashers, hopes of moving up in the standings still alive

The Mountain View Colts still have a shot at earning second place in the Northern Division.

As heard on 96.5 The Ranch on Friday night, Mountain View topped the Thrashers 5-3 in Three Hills.

The win for the third place Colts (19-16-2) combined with a 5-4 loss for Red Deer to the Flyers in High River last night, means the boys in blue are now just one point back of the second place Vipers (20-15-1).

The regular season finale for Mountain View is in Sylvan Lake against the Wranglers (32-3-1) tonight at 8 at the NexSource Centre. Meantime, the Vipers will host the Cochrane Generals (19-16-1) at the Servus Arena in Red Deer.
