Town Of Olds Implementing Changes To Make Sunshine Bus Service More Accessible To Everyone

The Town of Olds is executing some changes to make the Sunshine Bus service more accessible to everyone.
Heather Dixon with the Town of Olds Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) says the Town recognizes the need for affordable transportation in our community.
After listening to public feedback, she says beginning on Wednesday, May 1st seniors and individuals with mobility challenges can continue booking the bus in advance. The Town’s first come, first serve booking system remains in place to ensure fairness.
Additionally, Dixon notes the Town of Olds is introducing same day booking for the general public – subject to availability.
To reserve your spot, Dixon says to simply call the Sunshine Bus booking phone line which is open Monday to Friday from 9am until 11am at 403-556-8003. For your convenience one-way trips are priced at $5 dollars each which is payable in cash to the driver. She points out that if you prefer a more flexible option, punch passes are available for purchase at select Town facilities.
