The Olds Grizzlys will hand out the hardware at their annual awards banquet this Saturday.
The Black & Gold will celebrate their stand out performers from the 2024-2025 Alberta Junior Hockey League season when they gather at the Pomeroy Inn & Suites in Olds.
Kevin Watson, Manager of Business Operations for the Grizzlys, says it is going to be a fun night which includes their jersey auction. He says they will have a hot stove at the banquet featuring former NHLers Jay Beagle, Brian Sutter, and Jay Rosehill. Beagle won a Stanley Cup as a member of the Washington Capitals, in addition to a lengthy playing career Sutter was also the National Hockey League’s Coach of the Year in 1991 with the St. Louis Blues, and Rosehill is a Grizzlys alumni member plus he suited up for both the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Philadelphia Flyers during his NHL career.
The night will also include a great supper, and a silent auction. Tickets to this Saturday’s awards banquet are $100 each and they are available at the Olds Grizzlys Office or by calling 403-507-9167.
