Submit Nominations For Canadian Cattle Youth Council By May 17

Alberta Beef Producers are passing along a reminder that nominations close soon for the chance to join the Canadian Cattle Youth Council.
Brodie Haugan, Chair of ABP, says the council prepares beef cattle farmers and ranchers between the ages of 18 and 40 for future leadership roles through professional development.
He highlights the fact that ABP is currently looking for its next Alberta representative who will fill a two year position and this individual will have the opportunity to travel across Canada participating in many CCA events as well as several ABP events in this province.
Haugan was involved with the Canadian Cattle Youth Council ten years ago. He says “It was a wonderful opportunity to understand how the beef cattle organizations worked across the country and how they interacted with one another. Just the discussions that were happening at that current time, sort of that first hand look into the latest and greatest discussions of the industry. So that opportunity that I had ten years ago really helped build confidence for me to then come back into Alberta and run for an elected position to represent our industry.”
Nominations to join the Canadian Cattle Youth Council must be submitted by May 17th. Young Alberta beef cattle producers are encouraged to go to ABPDaily.com for more information.
