The Sundre Flying Club is celebrating Mother’s Day by serving up breakfast again.
Glen ‘Bruno’ Bradley with the Club invites the community to join them for the annual Mother’s Day Breakfast at the Sundre Airport from 7:30 until 11:30am on Sunday, May 12th. He says “Right now we are just trying to continue on a legacy that was basically created by Bruce Goodwin – a pilot – and Tom Minear, who used to own IGA.”
Bradley believes it is absolutely remarkable to see the Sundre Airport growing in the way that it is.
Everyone is welcome. Bradley says it is a free event but there is a nominal fee of $10 dollars for the breakfast as a fundraiser for their volunteer run organization. He asks attendees to bring cash and correct change if possible.
He looks forward to interacting with the community, showcasing the improvements made over the last year to the airport, and giving children a chance to partake in a little bit of aviation.
There will be a combination of aircraft flying-in, and some antique autos will be there as well.
The Sundre Flying Club has partnered up with Mountain View County for the event and there will be bouncy castles for the kids, face painting, and more.
Bradley says the last time they held the Mother’s Day Breakfast event they fed well over 600 people.
