Milestone edition of big community fundraiser in Water Valley on March 22

Over $30,000 dollars was raised for the community by the annual Water Valley Stud Auction last year.

This will be the 35th anniversary edition of the event.

Dan Butler, Master of Ceremonies for the event, highlights the fact that there will be something for everyone to bid on during the silent auction or the live auction. He says “home and garden, agricultural, arts and crafts. They’ve got services including bobcat services, hay services. There’s trail rides, art works, and – yes – for you Flames fans, we even have Flames tickets. Now, the silent auction goes from 4:30 until 8 o’clock. It has 200 items in it. The live auction goes at 7 o’clock.”

Doors open today at 4:30 at the Water Valley Community Hall. There is free entry. There is also a dinner buffet available for $27 dollars and a cash bar.

Butler says the money raised supports “community services and individuals in the community of Water Valley. Just basically, all proceeds support events and services in the community of Water Valley.”
