Didsbury is doing it again, the roller disco returns this weekend.
Fun for the entire family is on tap from 5 until 8pm on Saturday at the Didsbury Memorial Complex
Lisa Bastarache, Communications Coordinator with the Town of Didsbury, says the previous roller disco a few weeks ago was a huge success so they are bringing it back again.
She explains what you need to participate. Bastarache says “anybody who has roller skates. Either the old fashioned roller skates or roller blades. $5 entry fee per person or $20 per family and that includes a hot dog and a drink.
Bastarache adds, they’ve been trying to utilize the floor at the DMC as much as possible lately for local recreation and more. She says “we’ve had really great turnout, especially lately for our weekly programming. We’ve got it opened up for different things, like roller hockey or just public skating. Stroller time, we’ve had people come in with their strollers, kids and their little trikes. We’ve done some one-offs too. We had our Peace Officer come in and do a bike safety course and, of course, the roller discos have been really, really popular.”
She says to find out weekly indoor recreation schedules and more go to the Parks and Recreation section of the Didsbury.ca website.
