The Taste of Olds will be serving up samples of some of the best beverages and delicious dishes from the region.
Jennifer Hainsworth, Business Program Instructor at Olds College of Agriculture & Technology, highlights the fact that this is the first time a large scale event like this has been done for Olds and area. She says “Olds College Brewery will absolutely be there. We also have the Olds College Meat Shop. Some other restaurants such as The Crossing, and Bloom Cafe and then within the community we have Cacio e Pepe, we have Cocoa Tree Bake Shoppe, we have RC Eats is coming. The meadery, Fallentimber Meadery is coming. Origins Brewing Co., we’ve got quite a wide variety that are coming to the event.”
She adds, they will have over 20 vendors and their second year business students have been behind the planning, organizing, and execution of the event. The Taste of Olds food and drink expo is set for 5 until 9pm on Thursday, April 3rd in the Olds College Alumni Centre. There will also be live entertainment.
Admission is free but Hainsworth says it is a cash only event for the tasting tickets for samples from the breweries, wineries, restaurants, and more. All proceeds will be donated to the Mountain View Emergency Shelter Society.
