The summer season kicks off for numerous provincial historic sites, museums, and more this May long weekend.
Jason Nixon, the MLA for Rimbey-Rocky Mountain House-Sundre and Alberta’s Minister of Seniors, Community and Social Services, will be spending some time in his constituency this weekend in the Village of Caroline. He says “Well I’m pretty excited this weekend because May long weekend for me is always the kick off of the rodeo season in our constituency. So I will be in Caroline for their 90th Bighorn Stampede. Starting with the parade there on Saturday (May 18th). Looking forward to seeing everybody there and being able to get in some rodeo after a long winter. Looking forward to just that signal of spring being here and us headed into a different time (of year).”
Nixon highlights some of the tourist attractions in his constituency as ones to check out this summer including the Caroline Wheels of Time Museum, Fort Rocky Mountain House National Park, Sundre’s Pioneer Village, and the Brazeau Colleries Historic Mine Site out at Nordegg.
