Everyone deserves a cookie break and this week you can get your fix and help out some great local organizations.
100 per cent of the proceeds from every Smile Cookie sold between today (April 28th) and Sunday (May 4th) at both of the Tim Hortons locations in the Town of Olds will go to the Olds and Area Pregnancy Support Centre.
Quinn Jacobs, Franchisee with Tim Hortons Olds and area, explains what is happening in their other local communities and which organizations they will be supporting. He says “in Sundre this year we have partnered again with Sundre Nutrition for Learning, in Innisfail we have joined up with the Innisfail Health Centre Fundraising Committee, Bowden is the Boys and Girls Club of Olds and Area, and in Didsbury we have partnered with Heart 2 You of Didsbury, and we are excited to work with all of them.”
Last year in their five communities, Jacobs says they raised just under $41,000 and 100 per cent of those funds stayed in those communities and helped local charities. He adds, this year they will be trying for $45,000 raised during Smile Cookie week.
