Red Deer RCMP received a report of a garage explosion this week.
It happened at about 4pm on Wednesday, May 22nd in the Bower area of Red Deer.
Mounties say police, along with the Red Deer Fire Department, attended the scene.
After investigation, police believe the cause to be accidental in nature.
According to Red Deer RCMP, the explosion occurred as a result of using a welding torch near an open gas tank, which ignited the gas vapours.
No injuries were reported.
