Greenwood Neighbourhood Place in Sundre is continuing its fundraising initiatives this spring.
Donny Krahn, Executive Director at GNP, says it has been going very well so far and they are very excited to be so close to their goal of raising $20,000 dollars. She says “We had an anonymous donor commit to matching all donations of $100 or more to a maximum of $10,000. To date, we have raised just over $9,000 towards those matching funds, and we still have a week to go.”
She says GNP will be hosting its first live fundraising auction on June 1st and they have some great items to choose from.
Doors at the Sundre Legion will open at 6:30pm on Saturday, June 1st and the live fundraising auction for Greenwood Neighbourhood Place will start at 7 o’clock. There will be refreshments and a cash bar.
Meanwhile, Krahn notes that they will continue to accept monetary donations of any size and they are grateful for the support they have received during their fundraising so far. She says “Community support allows us to continue to provide our services to the residents of Sundre and area. To the many businesses and individuals that have provided auction items, again we are so grateful and excited to see what we will be able to raise because of their generosity.”
If you are able to donate, you can do so online at MyGNP.org or visit their office in Sundre on Tuesdays through Thursdays.
