The 47th edition of Pete Knight Days is coming up this week.
Foothills Cowboy Association rodeo performances will run at 6pm on Friday, June 7th and 2pm on Saturday, June 8th at the Crossfield rodeo grounds.
Cheryl Shae, Crossfield Farmers Market Manager, is looking forward to a busy day on Saturday as part of the rodeo weekend.
She mentions that being part of the rodeo weekend is super because the Farmers Market brings its own unique shoppers into town and the rodeo brings its people into town, so everybody benefits and downtown is busy, the parade route is busy, and the pancake breakfast is busy. Shae says “The day starts with the Crossfield Ag Society hosting their free pancake breakfast which goes between 8 and 10 o’clock. They generally serve about 1,500 plates so I highly recommend getting there. Great breakfast. After the Ag Society breakfast, then the parade gets going at about 10:30 and it goes ’til about noon and the Crossfield Chamber of Commerce puts that on. Then the Crossfield Farmers Market will open at about noon and we run until 4 o’clock.”
Shae notes the Crossfield Farmers Market does have a lot of new vendors for this and a lot of them are specialty vendors that are rodeo and stampede related.
Shae says they will be handing out free shopping tote bags to the first 300 visitors who joing them this Saturday from noon until 4pm at the Crossfield Community Centre.
She adds, they have active Facebook page so you can check out more details about the Crossfield Farmers Market there.
