A Clearwater County resident has been charged with arson.
Innisfail RCMP received a report of an individual spraying gasoline on a commercial building east of Innisfail.
It happened just before 8 o’clock in the morning on Wednesday (June 19th).
Mounties say while RCMP members were en route to the call, they were advised the suspect had lit the gasoline and the business was on fire.
According to police, the reports also indicated the suspect had fled in a vehicle.
A 39 year old male resident of Clearwater County, Tyler John Giglia, faces charges of arson, as well as break and enter with intent. He is slated to appear in court in Red Deer this week.
No injuries were reported from the incident. Innisfail RCMP note that fire crews were able to put out the blaze, but there was significant damage to the building.
