Innisfail RCMP Arrest Suspect Who Immediately Steals Vehicle After Being Released And Is Arrested By Wetaskiwin RCMP

A resident of Innisfail faces multiple charges after back to back days of offences.

On June 28th, Innisfail RCMP were investigating a suspicious vehicle near the Dickson Dam. Occupants of that vehicle were screaming at each other and causing a disturbance.

RCMP were able de-escalated the situation however one of the persons involved provided RCMP with a false name.

That male suspect was arrested for obstruction, failing to comply with release conditions and outstanding traffic warrants out of Wetaskiwin.

A short time later, on June 29th, an SUV was stolen from a residence in Innisfail.

Wetaskiwin RCMP intercepted the vehicle on highway 2 and arrested the driver who was the same suspect previously arrested by Innisfail RCMP.

The suspect was additionally charged with possession of property obtained by crime and failure to comply with a release order.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Alberta Court of Justice in Wetaskiwin on July 9th and at the Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer on July 24th.
