Music fans of all walks of life are encouraged to make their way to the west country this weekend, for one of the biggest bluegrass festivals in the province.

The Shady Grove Bluegrass Festival is coming up this weekend at the Sundre Pro Rodeo Grounds.

This year’s musical guests include the Blue Canyon Boys, Jake Vaadeland and the Sturgeon River Boys, Rock Hearts, Unfaithful Servants, Crooked Path, Sadies Ghost and more.

The festival has been running for nearly 30 years, originally starting in Nanton before moving to Sundre in 2020.

Tickets are $130 for the weekend, with day and evening passes for sale starting at $35.

There is a beer garden, food trucks, and vendors located on the Festival grounds.
