The Alberta Professional Chuckwagon and Chariot Association season is winding down.
Just three events remain – including this weekend’s tour stop in Sundre.
Chuckwagon driver Dale Young’s outfit is the Calgary Flames Ambassadors along with the Stampeders and Gemstone Lighting.
Racing wagons and carts is a family affair for Young. He says “yes it is. My wife and kids are a huge part, from caring for the animals to, of course, my kids both compete as well in the chariots. The love of the horses is kind of a family thing for us, yep. Well the season has been good, yep. My kids have been competing really well. They’ve been doing exceptionally well. I’ve had a good summer with my horses as well, and look forward to the final three shows of the year.”
Fans can check out all the excitement from Friday through Sunday at his hometown rodeo grounds during the Broncs, Bulls & Wagons weekend.
