Concert in Bergen Rocks Sculpture Park on August 31

An afternoon concert is being hosted on Saturday, August 31st at the Bergen Rocks Sculpture Park.
It will take place from 2 until 5pm and the park is located just south of Sundre on Pioneer Ranch Road.

Morton Burke, Owner of Bergen Rocks, explains who will be performing. He says “a local group, duo, called Blackbird. The two people in that duo are very accomplished artists. Both of them have performed with The Guess Who, or what remains of The Guess Who and that gives you an idea of their stature.”

The cost to attend Saturday afternoon’s concert is $15 dollars per person and children under 16 get in to the Bergen Rocks Park for it for free.

Burke points out that 23 artists from around the world have visited Bergen, stayed there for a month, and created a monumental stone sculpture which is then placed in the park. He says “something that people might recognize is that the ten stone sculptures that are exhibited in Olds along the main street were created and moved to Olds from Bergen Rocks.”

More details are available on the website BergenRocks.com.
