Alberta RCMP were kept busy over the Labour Day long weekend with enhanced traffic safety enforcement across the province.
Nearly 2,000 (1,982) tickets were issued between August 30th and September 2nd including 990 for speeding, 35 for distracted driving, and 55 for not wearing a seatbelt.
According to police, road-related incidents resulted in two fatal motor vehicle collisions and a total of three deaths.
The total count of drug or alcohol impaired drivers removed from the roads by Alberta RCMP was 92.
