The annual Olds Community Showcase is coming up this week.
Heather Dixon, the Community Development Supervisor for the Town of Olds, highlights the fact that the hours are slightly different this year. It will be a two hour event. She says “over 60 groups will be there. Everything from sports organizations, service clubs, new things that are happening. Come by the Taco – which is the public art committee booth. The Men’s Shed booth is something new. There’s definitely new and exciting things happening in our community. So we encourage everybody to just come down and see what is happening in Olds.”
Dixon says for some of the groups you will be able to register right on site for their programs or classes, so make sure you bring a form of payment with you.
The Community Showcase takes over the Olds SportsComplex’s auxiliary ice surface on Thursday, September 5th from 5 until 7pm. There is no admission fee and it is open to everyone.
