Olds College Unveils Newly Renovated Animal Health Education Centre

Olds College of Agriculture and Technology as announced that the final phase of construction on its newly renovated Animal Health Education Centre is now officially completed.

In a news release on Thursday, the local post secondary institution says this cutting-edge facility has fully opened its doors just in time to welcome students for the fall term this week, marking a significant milestone in the College’s dedication to advancing animal health education and fostering future growth.

Dalin Bullock, Dean, School of Life Science and Business is quoted in the release saying the “new facility and the year-round instructional design allow for increased student enrolment without diminishing the quality of hands-on learning”.

Olds College will be expanding the capacity of the Animal Health Programs from 90 students annually to 120 for the 2024-25 year, and to 150 in 2025-26.

The project was originally announced in July of 2020, the new space will support programs including the Veterinary Technology Diploma, Veterinary Technical Assistant Certificate and Veterinary Medical Receptionist Certificate.

The Animal Health Education Centre is also home to the National Meat Training Centre and retail store.
