Throughout Didsbury, the Mountain View Arts Festival will include plenty of ways to see local talent in a variety of mediums and learn about our heritage.
Merrilee Anthony, Co-Chair of the ‘Artists at Work’ and member of the Festival Committee, says they get things going with music this evening at 7 o’clock at the Didsbury Memorial Complex as part of a jazz and desert concert. All their programs are free admission, according to Anthony.
It is the province’s month-long celebration of arts, heritage, diversity, and community spirit, hosted by community organizations.
According to the government of Alberta, around 215,000 Albertans attended Culture Days events at more than 59 communities in 2023.
The province is supporting 111 organizations in 48 communities that are hosting Alberta Culture Days events by awarding $375,000 this year in grants.
Meanwhile, National Culture Days also fit into the fall calendar as they will take place between September 20th and October 13th.
