The 17th season for the Mountain View Film Group kicks off this weekend.
There will be two showings of the film ‘Thelma’ on Sunday, September 15th at the Mayfair Cinema in Olds. The first is at 11am and the other is at 3pm.
Vice President Doug Shaw with the Mountain View Film Group says ‘Thelma’ puts a really unique and hilarious spin on the action film genre.
He adds, they are associated with the Toronto International Film Festival. Shaw says “they released a series of films that can be shown by independent viewing groups such as ours. We are pretty lucky here in Olds. Usually, only larger metropolitan areas have access to these kind of independent films. Red Deer, for example, Calgary would be otherwise the closest choices.”
