2024 edition of Oldstoberfest features three days of festivities from September 12-14

It is Oldstoberfest week in the Town of Olds!
Event Coordinator Mykaela Bauer points out that the world’s first and only Bavarian Rodeo has been expanded to a three day event this year. Bauer says “up until now we have had the show for two days and we attract over 9,500 spectators throughout the weekend so, yeah, we thought about adding a third show this year.”
There will be Pro Rodeo excitement on Friday and Saturday, while there are three days of concerts and festivities stretching from Thursday through Saturday on the Olds Regional Exhibition grounds.
Bauer explains what else is new for this year. She says “so we actually have ‘Ackerland’, that’s a German word for the infield. There is going to be an Olds College tent and there then there is also going be a Noble Equipment tent and so people can go hang out in these tents and then there’ll be a live scream with the feed of the rodeo and concerts as well.”
Thursday’s grandstand concert is Owen Riegling who is a CCMA nominee for Entertainer of the Year. Friday’s rock concert is The Night Train – Tribute to Guns N’ Roses, and Saturday’s country concert is Payton Smith.
Tickets and more details are available online at Oldstoberfest.com.
