At the SportsComplex, the Grizzlys will welcome the Drumheller Dragons to Town as an ‘Olds’ fashioned South Division rivalry is renewed on opening night.

Patrick takes pride in wearing black and gold, and wants to see the Grizzlys be a force in the AJHL this season. He says “there is nothing I want more than that. I really hope this season goes as planned and I honestly think it will. I think we’ve turned the ship around. l think it will be good.”
The 18-year-old winger from Airdrie looks forward to stepping out onto the ice with their newly minted Captain – Connor Seeley from West Kelowna, B.C. Patrick says “he’s great. Like if I were to choose myself he would be the Captain. He is hard on all of us, keeps us all in line. Makes sure we are all doing the right things. He tells us when were are not doing the right things and just tries to make us better and make the team better every day.”
The Grizzlys will have a tailgate party before the home opener from 4 until 6:30pm today. It will include free hot dogs and pop, plus entertainment from the Memphis Mafia Band.

Puck drop for the home opener will be at 7 o’clock as Olds hosts Drumheller tonight (September 13th) and live coverage can be heard on 96.5 CKFM.
