The 27th annual Dean Turnquist Spring Fever Road Hockey Tournament is coming up this Saturday in Innisfail.
Dean Turnquist, Chair of the Helping Hand Fund, says he is super proud to be a part of it and a part of the groups that have organized it through the years. He notes this isn’t something that one person can do and they have had some amazing volunteers throughout the years, and right now they currently have a volunteer group of about 8 or 9 people.
Turnquist says all of the road hockey games will happen at the Innisfail Arena starting at about 8 or 9am on Saturday, April 20th. He notes the kids games will be on one side and the adults on the other. According to Turnquist, the public is encouraged to come out and watch. There will be a beer gardens as well.

The mission of the Helping Hand Fund is to provide children from financially challenged families with the opportunity to participate in Innisfail’s minor sports programs. Turnquist says all of the money raised through the road hockey tournament and the cabaret will all go back to the Helping Hand Fund.
