Ecole Olds High School Leadership Hosts Christmas Palooza On December 11th

The École Olds High School Leadership Club is hard at work, spreading the news about their Christmas Palooza on December 11th.

The students are baking their own Christmas treats and offering them up to the public in a fundraiser for the Olds and District Christmas Angels.

Mattea Sept is a Leadership student, she says they’ve been doing this for 4 years now.

“This is our 4th year doing it and in the past 3 years doing it Christmas Palooza has raised over $7000, so its a pretty good event.”

The event will take place during the morning hours before school on Monday, December 11th. It will get started at 7:30.

Sophia Dodd, a Leadership Senior, explains how it works.

“You’ll get a pizza box for $25 and you can fill it with a dozen treats, you can go around and choose whichever treats you want, all baked by our leadership class so there will be many options.”

There will also be a raffle table with prizes donated by local businesses and free fair trade coffee and tea.

The students say that the Christmas Angels have been very thankful for the Leadership club’s efforts over the past years, adding that everyone is invited to attend next Monday, including your kids.

Christmas Palooza will run from 7:30am until about 8:15am at the École Olds High School Commons.

An envoy of Olds High Leadership Students, including Mattea Sept, Sophia Holgado, Sophia Dodd and Sydney Van Dinhoven stopped by the radio station to promote the event.
