At 7:34 a.m. on November 27th, Olds RCMP received a report of a semi-tractor trailer involved in a crash.
Emergency crews arrived and tended to four individuals who were injured.
All four were taken to hospital with minor injuries and are expected to recover.
The investigation has determined that the semi-tractor trailer had flipped onto its side, blocking all southbound lanes.
While a good samaritan was assisting the driver, a Ford F-350 pulling a cattle trailer struck the semi.
This caused injuries to the semi driver, the good samaritan and two occupants of the Ford truck. One of the three cows in the trailer was killed.
RCMP remained on scene for several hours to assist with the investigation and removal of the vehicles and trailers.
