The Sundre and District Museum and World of Wildlife is kicking off the holiday season the right way, with a Christmas Movie Marathon planned for Saturday at the Elks Hall.
Everyone is invited to join in on the festive marathon, starting at 2PM with the 1964 classic, Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer.
Carrie Couch is the Executive Director of the Sundre Museum, she thanks a couple of community partners for helping them organize the event.
“We would like to thank Sundre Fountain Tire and West Country Cruisers for partnering with us on this event. The marathon will be held indoors at the Elks Hall on November 30th, from 2PM to 8PM. We’ll be showing six different Christmas movies throughout the afternoon and evening.”
Couch says they’ve got all the best Christmas classics for you to enjoy.
“We’ll be starting off with Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, followed by Frosty the Snowman, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, A Charlie Brown Christmas, Miracle on 34th Street, and A Christmas Story. It’s going to be an exciting day, so come for one movie or stay for them all! Entrance is by donation, with all proceeds going to the Sundre Museum.”
Entrance is by donation to the Sundre Museum, Couch says there will be a cash concession on hand as well and encourages everyone to bring their own lawn chair for a comfy seat to sit in.
