The busiest time of year for the Olds Christmas Angels Society is here.
Claire Rosehill with the Christmas Angels says they will be at the Alberta Junior Hockey League game between the Olds Grizzlys and the Drumheller Dragons this Friday at 7pm.
Friday’s Grizzlys game is being sponsored by Royalty RV and they will be selling ‘chuck-a-pucks’ for $5 dollars with the proceeds going to the Olds Christmas Angels.
On Saturday at 7:15pm, Rosehill adds, the Battle with the Olds College Broncos 2: Police vs Fire charity hockey game will also be supporting the Christmas Angels. She says “so back to back night’s of Angel action at the arena and that’s in partnership with the U13 girls tournament. The girls are raising money for the Christmas Angels through their 50/50. The Broncos will be again on Saturday night collecting toys, and cash donations. There will be some awesome raffle items, and ‘shoot the puck’ for $10,000 again. So there is lots going on this weekend, specifically, in support of the Angels.”
Meanwhile, Rosehill notes that their Christmas barrels will be out around town until December 17th. She says to go to the Olds Christmas Angels website, or their Facebook or Instagram to find all the locations in town that have barrels for them and there are also Christmas trees at different businesses with Angel tags available if you want to help them provide a specific gift as well.
