The CPKC Holiday Train brightened up the mid-day hours and lit up the evening along the tracks through the Highway 2 corridor on Friday, December 13th.
Central Alberta region stops were made in Innisfail, Olds, and Didsbury.
Since 1999, the CPKC Holiday Train has raised over $24.3 million dollars and over 5.3 million pounds of food to help people struggling with food insecurity.
While in the Town of Olds a cheque was presented to Mayor Judy Dahl and Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills MLA Nathan Cooper by representatives from the Holiday Train. The cheque was for $4,000 dollars to go to the Mountain View Food Bank.
The Holiday Train features musical performances in Canada this year from Magic! and Sofia Camara.
