The nomination deadline for the Mountain View and Neighbours Women in Business Awards is coming up on Friday, February 21st.
A total of six awards will be handed out during the second annual awards luncheon to recognize the deserving women who live or work in Mountain View County, Clearwater County, Kneehill County, and the Towns and Villages within.
Tracey McCrimmon, Executive Director at the Sundre Petroleum Operators Group (SPOG), notes the inaugural edition of the event in 2024 was amazing and she is looking forward to seeing how they build on that success this time around. She says “I think it is fantastic we live in a community that supports not only women in energy but certainly women that represent all of these different sectors and that they bring a ton of passion and a ton of expertise. Anytime you can channel that positive energy it just brings so much opportunity to our community.”
McCrimmon explains what qualities a good nominee for the Woman in Energy award. She says “you want somebody that is passionate about our industry and that not only brings experience under their belt but they create and opportunity within a community for female energy professionals to focus on education, and mentorship, and growth. They provide an incredible amount of value in the technical field as well as the traditional roles. So being able to further advance and empower women to move forward in some of those industries.”
